MORE DIVINE  14th-18th April 2027

 

This is a retreat for women of any age who sometimes forget how wonderful they are. 

These are difficult times. As women, we do so much, support so many, that we often lose our shine and fray our edges.

‘More Divine’ is a playful exploration of four Hindu goddesses and their presence inside every one of us, a retreat created to soothe you, inspire you and remind you of your unique and wonderful way of being in this one and precious life.

 

When was the last time you felt divine? The world needs you to recognise your divine powers, and goddess qualities go hand in hand with being a real, down-to-earth, oh so often imperfect woman.

 

This is a creative and nourishing journey through 5 days of inclusive yoga*, yin yoga,  reflection, expressive movement, co-creation and massage.

This is NOT a yoga in the morning, yoga in the evening kind of retreat. 

The practices are lovingly woven together, and if you don’t like going deep within, letting go of old beliefs whilst having a ball, ‘Divine’ is not for you.

To accompany and support the magic, you will have plenty of time to rest, wander around the beautiful Dragonfly House, laze by the pool and just be. 

*Inclusive yoga is yoga that can be adapted to your physical, mental and emotional reality. The way you do it is the perfect way for you.

 

Dragonfly House is the ideal place to host our journey. Every corner of this magical retreat house is filled with loving details, and somehow EVERYONE feels instantly at home and also exquisitley held by the energy that Helen, the owner, has created here.

 

About your host: I’m Jane Zimmerman, passionate about working with women, I have been offering retreats (mixed and women only) for 20 years. 

I had a rather tormented youth, and was saved by Yoga, Art, travelling, therapy and dance music, as well as some incredible women (Goddesses in disguise). Artist, Art Therapist, Yoga teacher, Yin yoga freak, Expressive Movement facilitator, (Río Abierto) Therapist, Masseur, I’m currently studying The Enneagram in Southern Spain, where I have lived for the last 20 years.

 

Programme 

Wednesday 14th April 

17pm Arrival and get settled

19pm Welcome presentation and practice to inhabit your body and meet the goddesses 

21pm Vegetarian buffet dinner, always delicious, colourful and vibrant. 

 

At Dragonfly house, the food is not just nourishing, it’s the perfect compliment to the mind, body and spirit work that we will be doing, much of the products are local and each plate is an explosion of colour and prana to delight your eyes and your taste buds.

Any food allergies will be allowed for, just make sure to let me and or Helen know through the forms that i’ll send you a month before the retreat.

Our Daily journey: 

8am Walking or sitting meditation 

9am Buffet breakfast

11am Morning practice (this will include a variety of body work, reflection and games)

2pm Luscious buffet lunch

5pm Afternoon practice 

9pm Divine dinner

 

On the Friday. We will enjoy a trip to Torcal, a Natural Park made up of a Karstic landscape, created from limestone originally from the Jurassic period which due to erosion has formed spectacular natural sculptures. We’ll be exploring lesser known routes, thanks to María from Antequera, so even if you’ve been before, you’ll be in for a breath-taking morning. We’ll share a small ritual to lay our disappointments to rest on the ancient rocks.

 

Sunday:

8.30am buffet breakfast

10.30am Cacao ceremony to feel the four goddesses in you and to integrate all that you have lived on this Divine journey, (what will you be leaving behind and what will you be carrying with you to enrich your daily life and keep that connection to your own wonderfulness?)

11.30am Ecstatic Dance ( DJ Alexandra )

1.30pm Closing circle

2.30pm Fabulous farewell lunch 

We will be outside as much as the heat allows, on the beautiful circular yoga platform or in the gardens, the indoor practices will be in Helen’s light-filled wooden-floored studio.

Each day we will explore a goddess or two, with diverse practices to embody her qualities and recognise her in our own lived reality. Could you do with cultivating more of Lalita’s loving energy? Perhaps Chinnamasta awakens a spiritual side of you that you can invite into your day to day. 

 

We will have a fire circle after dinner on the Saturday

Chinnamasta: the headless goddess of self-enquiry and fearlessness

Bhuvaneshwari; the goddess of the worlds

 

Your Investment:

 

A ROOM OF YOUR OWN:  double with en-suite bathroom - 1250€

A SHARED ROOM:  twin with en-suite bathroom - 890€

A SHARED ROOM:  triple with en-suite bathroom – 800€

 

A non-refundable deposit of 250€ is required on booking, to secure your place.

- Flights 

- Transfers can be arranged for you and cost approximately 110€ for 4 people)

- Treatments: There are two one-hour sessions of therapeutic massage/reflexology or therapy available with me. (Thursday or Friday at 3.45-4.45pm 60€)

A month before our journey together I will send you the transfer details and a list of essential items to bring with you.

The transfer will be a local taxi driver and cash will be needed to pay them.Please use ATM at Malaga airport as there are no cash machines near Dragonfly House.

 

It is recommended that you have your own travel insurance.

 

In the unlikely event that Yamalayoga cancels the retreat, all your money will be refunded.

 

You don’t need to have an previous experience with yoga, yin yoga, expressive movement, creativity or even being a goddess!  All levels , styles, ages and body types are welcome.
